Taking Feature Requests

Hello all,

I finished my exams on the 19th and I have started back to work after a much needed break from school.  I now have more time to devote to boothbox and improving it.  I would like to hear people's suggestions for the project and features they would like to see.  I have about four months before I start my next academic term and hope to make some great improvements.

Here is a preliminary list of stuff I plan on doing work to improve:

-enable network booting
-web based attract loop when inactive
-slideshow mode (cycles through web pages)
-test printing support
-firefox plugins for easier customization of interface
-kiosk usage monitoring tools
-language support
-easier configuration

My feature request: Add bookmarks toolbar option

Ideal scenario: a script that will enable the display of bookmarks/chrome options and add approved sites to the bookmark toolbar.

Short of that: clear docs on how to enable that.

In my case I limit my boothbox to about 8 websites.  People don't know what the approved sites are (unless I attach a piece of paper listing approved sites to the side of the box).  It would be better if they could just click the links in the toolbar.

I've tried messing around with the chrome, etc.. but there are a large number of steps to do I've already made about 8 coasters trying to my booth cd right.

I agree with MP72.  I would also like to have the ability to have and update bookmarks.

Our solution does not run off of CD, so reauthoring would not be an issue..

Otherwise, if you can implement your improvements, they would make one phenominal product!
