The sync occurs every 5 minutes; this is generating a
lot of traffic.
It would be nice if synchronizing could be scheduled
with sync moments and frequencies preferred by the
users.
I need more information. The SyncIt client has no automatic timer
for syncing: it syncs when it startups, then watches the relevant
bookmark files on your machines, and syncs again when they
change. If your client is syncing every five minutes, something is
definitely wrong (the only time I've seen similar behavior is when
the server could not be contacted - only then will the client
attempt to poll the server on a regular basis). Could you provide
more information?
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
The description of morbus seems to be incomplete, on my
system the syncit client connects every 45 minutes to the
server (if he wouldn't, how should he get noticed of updates
made by other clients?)
So a timer must be present.
