For us Microsoft shops, the ASP/SQL version would be
ideal. Is there any developement in this direction? I
haven't seen any postings regarding this in some time.

Even a PHP/SQL Server version would be better than
PHP/MySQL for the larger shops, I would imagine.

Let's not let this product fade! I have 20+ users who are
screaming for a replacement product and I'm trying to
bide my time

The reason there is not an ASP version of SyncIt is because
the SyncIt founders have not released the code.

Outside of their work, there is no effort to develop an ASP
    version of the code.

The development roadmap for the PHP version, I believe,
includes a plan to introduce a database abstraction layer that
would make SQL Server support possible.

With a little SQL and PHP knowhow it should be possible to
modify the current minimal server to use MSSQL instead of
MySQL. You can hire me to do it for you ;)

You also can recomment one of the existing syncit servers
announced on the user list to your screaming users.
