#109 FLAC to MP3 with LAME on Mac: Bad sampling rate error

On Windows the following works fine, but not on Mac OS 10.6.

Trying to convert some FLAC files to MP3 gives an error about not being able to configure the LAME encoder, then a LAME error about a Bad sampling rate. I'm reporting after the fact,sorry, but I think the sampling rate was 96000Hz. (But if that was the problem, why did it work fine on Windows 10?)

I notice there are similar reports in the help forum.

Thank you for choosing fre:ac!

There was a bug in fre:ac's LAME encoder component that caused it to not accept arbitrary sample rates even with LAME set to automatic resampling. That bug was fixed in fre:ac 1.0.25 on Windows, so that's probably why it worked for you there.

There will be a new fre:ac snapshot release in about two hours that will fix it for all other platforms.
