You might like to add, if you haven't already that BB have signed the IMS-CommonCartridge declaration along with Microsoft, D2L and others. Steve Lay, if he is on this list, can clarify, but there are some obligations under that agreement that have an impact on patents that interfere with the IMS Common cartridge. Im not certain if its 100% relevant. Another thought, if your VLE or Course Management System is not a VLE or CMS, but really a virtual research environment.... what happens ?
