What they *don't* tell you is that almost none of their other tools do either. At one point I had my Program Files folder on a separate partition, mounted using a junction. Several installers, notably including Microsoft Office 2000, got extremely confused and destroyed the junction during product installation, neatly making all my Program Files inaccessible. If you're going to use junctions, you need to be very, very careful indeed about how you use the standard tools. - Peter |
