Why wouldn't you want Guanxi in the quickstart?

The only difference between a normal WAR and a quickstart WAR is that 
the quickstart comes with a bodington.properties files and a database 
file inside the WAR.

I'm not sure I follow. My understanding is that for 2.6.0 release we 
will make available a bodington.war that is a normal bodington 
installation and maybe (if I get it working) a quickstart.war file that 
contains a preconfigured database.

I don't seen any problems with the quickstart (I've been wrong before:) 
as it is mainly a change to the setup/startup of Bodington.
