Heh.  It's 20 years since I last had to do that... one of the disk packs
failed on the mainframe, and we had to boot it off punched card.  We had
to toggle the bootloader in on the front panel switches.  Marginally
worse than the time some idiot ran a disk exerciser for so long that the
power transistors driving the disk arm overheated, melted their solder
and fell out of the PCB...
