1. HSQLDB - estimated 3 days - MB This is a must, as we have sold a  
lot of snake oil on this one!
1. Timed Resources - ? - AOC
1. GX 1.2 - 1 day - AY
1. Resource Search, Keyword only - 1 day - CT
2. RSS - 1.5 days - MB
2. EasyBuilder - 2days - CT not including keyword searching, html  
widget.
2. Schema update - 3 days with tests - AY et al.
3. ACL - 2days - MB (this is without timed access support)
3. Textblocks - 1days - CT - Announcements goes to 2.8
3. Quicklinks - 1 day AC/CT
4. Edit Discussion Room Posts - CT - done, throw it in!

It looks to me at this point that we will miss MB's ACL as there  
isn't enough time left.

Bad news. We are also doing an upgrade of WebLearn here and have 
encountered some problems so my time is being drained by that. At my 
current rate I don't see ACLs making it.

Now in HEAD. Probably some more tweaks but it is mainly there.

I'm working on keyword searching for WebLearn, will be finished by end 
of tomorrow.
I'd prefer to finish that before adding EasyBuilder (and TextBlocks) but 
if anyone wants to look at them sooner, I can commit them to Bod head.

I'm going to have to drop Edit Discussion Room Posts, unless someone 
else wants to look at that?

What's remaining on 2.6. Close of play for these is Thursday 9:00 am,  
at which point I will tag HEAD as the next 2.5.x.

After some testing, that can be made a file release on sf.

to the 2.7 list.

Ning Ning has done a great job on adding functionality - she's done loads
considering she only had 2 weeks to code. 

We have got a little tidying up to do but should be able to add her code to
HEAD afore Xmas.

I will get her to circulate her document

At the moment HSQLDB and quickstart are tied together so I will probably 
push the two changes across at the same time.

except that it will take some time to disentangle some of the extra  
features, e.g. gx, that you wouldn't want in a quickstart, as well  
as, would it not be better to have a real 2.6.0 as the quickstart?

if any of these are true, then surely it is better to build the  
quickstart in a week rather than a couple of days to maximize what  
can be put into it?

Why wouldn't you want Guanxi in the quickstart?

The only difference between a normal WAR and a quickstart WAR is that 
the quickstart comes with a bodington.properties files and a database 
file inside the WAR.

I'm not sure I follow. My understanding is that for 2.6.0 release we 
will make available a bodington.war that is a normal bodington 
installation and maybe (if I get it working) a quickstart.war file that 
contains a preconfigured database.

I don't seen any problems with the quickstart (I've been wrong before:) 
as it is mainly a change to the setup/startup of Bodington.

can someone modify the build file to dump the gx files on top of the  
bod ones?

what about web.xml? I have one with only gx additions in it. Can ant  
somehow get them out of contrib/guanxi/guanxi.war[web.xml] and merge  
them into bod's web.xml?
