It was bug in 2.4.1 which is now fixed in CVS. You should download CVS tree and try again. Subject: [Bochs-developers] Physical memory read error when use --enable-long-phy-address Hi, I'm using bochs-2.4.1. When I'm building it with --enable-long-phy-address at the very beginning of the simulation (before even getting to boot procedure) I get the following error: bx_dbg_read_linear: physical memory read error (phy=0x00000000fffffff0, lin=0x00000000fffffff0) Bochs was built with following flags: --enable-acpi \ --enable-pci \ --enable-usb \ --enable-usb-ohci \ --enable-a20-pin \ --enable-apic \ --enable-cpu-level=6 \ --enable-x86-64 \ --enable-large-pages \ --enable-vbe \ --without-wx \ --enable-global-pages \ --enable-pae \ --enable-fpu \ --enable-mmx \ --enable-3dnow \ --enable-sse=4 \ --enable-sep \ --enable-1g-pages \ --enable-all-optimizations \ --enable-popcnt \ --enable-disasm \ --enable-aes \ --enable-vmx \ --enable-vme \ --enable-debugger \ --enable-configurable-msrs \ --enable-xsave \ --enable-idle-hack \ --enable-pcnic \ --enable-ne2000 \ --enable-iodebug \ --enable-long-phy-address \ --disable-plugins When building without --enable-long-phy-address everything works fine. I'd be glad if anyone could tell me what the problem is. Is it something I'm missing in the building/configuration?
