Sorry if this is a trivial question but I just started with bochs yesterday and could not find any info on how I can copy files in and out of the guest OS esp. after bochs has booted up.

I think you should setup a network connection between the guest and host OS.
Dependig on the OS you can use the floppy, cd-rom, ... (without using un image file), but in my opinion it is quite "unpractical".
There are a few posts and/or tips an how to do this (according to your guest/host OS) on this forum and online help (which is newer than the help packed with the sw).
Let us know what you'll find best.

If using FAT file system, there is a program for Windows called WinImage that works very well.
