[Boa Constr] Trouble with Boa menus

Boa: refreshed from CVS today, 7/27/2002

I'm following the tutorial, building the notebook example.

I don't know how or why, but the menu created has the name of the menu as
not only the text that appears in the menubar, but also as the first item in
the drop-down; i.e, the "File" menu has "File" (followed by a separator) as
the first item.

Any suggestions?
