#313 dir-picker control duplicate & one isn't working

there are duplicate controls for the same tasks:
in the palette browser,
-> library
-> buttons
both contain file & dir picker.
the ones under "buttons" doesn't work for me (simple app, frame or panel, controls doesn't function nor displayed properly when application is being run).
