#312 tooltipstring error on font-picker (and others)

After adding certain controls to the designer, font picker, dir-picker, file-picker -- maybe more, an error message pops up when clicking on these controls:
"Error on accessing Getter for ToolTipString: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'GetTip'"
