I think it's correct how they are now...The idle state is invoked when a 
user doesn't use the keyboard or mouse for, for example, 10 minutes...that 
means the person isn't behind the computer, hence the empty icon...whereas 
the away icon is set by the user himself, so doesn't have to mean the user 
is really not behind his computer...anyway, that's my interpretation....if 
you want you can change it in the iconprefs yeah...

we also should decide how we will be integrating the signed out and blocked 
icons into the icon prefs file, since they are not really statusses...(and 
therefore are missing some information that the normal statusses do have)
