Hi,
it's been 3 days that I'm trying to install and run blueZync to get my Nokia e65 synchronized with thunderbird.

I use ubuntu 9.04_x86_64 and TB 2.0.0.22
I installed blueZync by svn following this guide: http://kaarposoft.dk/bluezync/building.html

After many, many, many efforts i get to install bluezync , set the plug-in in TB and run it.
The first time, using a new address-book in TB, I get to transfer all my contacts from the phone to TB. I was delighted :)
By then every time I try to run a synchronization I get conflicts between the records in TB and in the phone address book for every contact.
I think this is because in the phone address book there are options not matching with the ones in Tb.
You can see a screenshot of the kind of conflict here:

If instead of IGNORE I try to overwrite the details, either in TB or in the phone, TB crashes.
This is the command line output:

neocronopio@neocronopio:/tmp/osync_trace$ thunderbird

** Message: The proprietary text/x-vcard property X-EPOCSECONDNAME is not supported.

Attached you can find the bug report.

Once I also tried deleting all contacts on phone and retransfer them again from TB, but it crashed again.

So I cannot overwrite contacts from phone to TB, or from Tb to the phone, and I cannot write new contacts from TB to the phone as well. The only thing I seem to be able to do is copying contacts from the phone to TB.

Before trying blueZync I did some attempt with "multisync" and I get to sync very well the address book of the phone with Evolution, but I'd like to continue using TB.

I'd like to say thanks for the work your doing. I think this is a very good project and I hope it will see the light soon. Previously, under windows, I used the extension for Thunderbird "Nokia Synchronization" (same author) and it was just perfect with my old and simple Nokia 6070. I think it was one of the most useful extensions I've ever used in TB.

Thanks for help and please forgive my poor English!

    Sorry for the late reply...

There has been a number of updates to OpenSync and blueZync, which may have an impact on this problem.
It would be great if you could try to build out of SVN again.

    /Henrik
