Hi All, Just wanted to send a warning note that if you normally check out blue from CVS, please be careful and don't use it for your daily work for now as there's been a lot of changes the past week and the ones from today so far have put blue in a non-working state (well, it works, but the mouse code needs to be reworked). Just as a status update, parameter automation is very far along now. I spent a great deal of time abstracting and implementing the core of the automation system, how values are stored, updated, etc. Currently, the status is that all bsb widgets which are automatable (knob, all slider types, and xy controller) are being auto-discovered for parameter automation. The menu for building this is done and working to select to enable or disable automations or move automations from another layer to the current one. What I am working on now is the last bit of the puzzle, the line editor that will overlay the soundObjects. I am reusing code from the LineObject but it has to be a bit redone for this context. I am hoping to get that in today/tonight. After that, things will be in a working state, but I will be creating a number of tests to make sure that everything that went in is working correctly. After the tests are built and I feel that things are in good working order, I wil push a beta .jar file for beta testing, at which time I will very much appreciate if anyone could test it out and give feedback on how things feel and if they have other recommendations. BTW: I think due to the number of shortcuts currently in use with the existing score timeline, I will likely be adding a "line edit" mode and a "score edit" mode, which one will have to switch between to do line work and score work. Some kind of shortcut should be made to easily switch between those. Thanks! steven |
