Update: libcsnd-java on Debian/Ubuntu is broken. The CMake build used for it did not generate the java library correctly. I made a fix and uploaded it to csound5 GIT. Until a new package can be updated in Debian and Ubuntu, I think the only way for this to work would be to use an older Csound if available in apt, or compile Csound yourself.
