The provided package, "libborqt-new.tar.bz2", seems to
be invalid. It contains two files,
libborqt-6.9.0-qt2.3.so and install-lib.sh
install-lib.sh is:
echo RUN AS ROOT, AND ONLY ONCE!
cp -f -R lib/ /usr/lib/kylix
echo /usr/lib/kylix >>/etc/ld.so.conf
ldconfig
echo INSTALL FINISHED!
This tries to copy recursively some files from lib/
directory, but such a directory does not exists in this
package.
When I try to run the editor, it complains about
"./editor: error while loading shared libraries:
./editor: undefined symbol: initPAnsiStrings".
Obviously some required files are missing, and the
package (libborqt-new.tar.bz2) either has invalid
install-script or is also missing those files.
I did try copying the libborqt-6.9.0-qt2.3.so to
/usr/local/lib (which is mentioned in /etc/ld.so.conf),
and then run ldconfig - but this didn't help. Editor
gave same error message.
What file should I install to get this bbe-editor working?

I managed to solve this. BlackBallEd needs these 3 files:
libborqt-6.9.0-qt2.3.so
libqtintf-6.9.0-qt2.3.so
libqt.so.2.3.0
I got some help from
http://homepages.borland.com/efg2lab/Library/Kylix/deployment.htm
There is also a script to start kylix 3 apps so that you
don't need su for install.
If BlackBallEd is put to /home/malaire/BlackBallEd and
deploy-files to /home/malaire/BlackBallEd/deploy then you
can start it with following script:
#!/bin/bash
cd /home/malaire/BlackBallEd
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/home/malaire/BlackBallEd/deploy
./editor
This doesn't need any installing with superuser rights.
(I have Linux - SuSe 9.1 Personal)

I forgot to mention that in addition to those 3 files, you
also need 3 symlinks in that deploy/ directory. Then the
mentioned script will start BlackBallEd, without needing any
prior installing.
These symlinks are:
libborqt-6.9-qt2.3.so -> libborqt-6.9.0-qt2.3.so
libqtintf-6.9-qt2.3.so -> libqtintf-6.9.0-qt2.3.so
libqt.so.2 -> libqt.so.2.3.0
