Dear All,

first of all: Thanks for a great piece of software! You guys do a fantastic job!

Currently I'm trying to figure out what is going wrong on my DSL line and I
am trying to use the information provided in the status page in
bitswitcher: "Status/DSL Status". The corresponding HTML page provides
something like:

Mode: ADSL2+
Channel: Fast
Trellis: ON
Line Status: No Defect
Training Status: Showtime
        Down Up
SNR (dB): 7.3 10.1
Attn(dB): 4.0 5.3
Pwr(dBm): 18.6 12.9
Max(Kbps): 20540 1336
Rate (Kbps): 17695 1182

Could someone please help me interpret the values I see on this page?

I assume SNR is some sort of signal to noise ratio, on the up/down link.
However, if so, I don't understand how these numbers (e.g. 7.3 dB above)
are related to the figures in the plots on the same HTML page… Those values
are more in the region of 40 dB…

Also the meaning of the rate figures (Max(Kbps) and Rate (Kbps)) are unclear to me.
Well… They are all unclear to me…

I would be greatful if someone could weither explain these values to me or point
me somewhere where I can read up on it…

Best Regards,

Jón
