Forget the previous questions. I got unlazy and started to read the excellent reference materials in this group. The FAQs, articles, and links are extremely informative. FWIW- I had a situation where a midi file in /dload/ringtone that was still on the phone but the phone interface was unable to see it. Your filesystem manager allowed me to fix the problem. As a follow-up, I was also encountering the system crash when trying to import everything due to the empty memo problem. This was fixed by simply adding a dummy memo to the phone. Bitpim still crashes when trying to write the memos back to the phone(phone in off-line mode). Thanks, Mike >Two Follow-up Questions: >Can any PIX copied from phone to PC be copied back, or are there >restrictions? Specifically, If I copy a 640x480 PIX from the phone and edit >it, can I then copy it back as 640x480, or am I forced to drop to 160x120? >I'm not familiar with cell phone protocol.
