Release of biowebauth-1.2.3.RC version!

A new version of BioWebAuth software (Biometrics for Web Authentication) has been released. BioWebAuth is an open source Java framework intended to provide single sign-on web authentication based on BioAPI-compliant biometric software or devices. It uses the JA-SIG Central Authentication Service architecture.

The BioWebAuth framework also offers a basic face verification modality that supports (almost) any usb-webcam as capture device. In this new version, this face recognition functionality has been completed with client-side Java-based automatic face detection and with a BioAPI-compliant Face BSP for Windows/Linux O.S.. Furthermore, some improvements have been made, and some bugs have been fixed in relation to previous versions. Some of these improvements have been oriented to achieve an easier installation of the BioWebAuth client application on Windows/Linux machines.

BioWebAuth works on Linux and Win32 platforms. It requires J2SE 1.5 SDK, JBoss Application Server 4.0.2 (or later), MySQL database 4.1 (or later) and BioAPI framework to be installed on the server machine.
