Release of BWABSPs package

Release of a package with the Win32 implementation of four BiometricServiceProviders that offer Face-based, Voice-based, Fingerprint-based and Face&VoiceMultimodalFusion-based Verification. This work was developed at University of Vigo by members and students of Signal Processing Group.

Release of Signature BSPs

Release of two levenshtein-algorithm-based signature BSPs for LINUX environments that are able to capture samples from a mouse or a WACOM tablet. This work has been developed by Eduardo Salgueiro Couto to obtain his Master Thesis degree at University of Vigo. These BSPs are compliant with BioAPI v1.X.X and they use the Biosecure-Magdeburg Signature Reference System developed at the Otto von Guericke MD.

Release of biowebauth-1.2.5.RC version!

A new version of BioWebAuth software (Biometrics for Web Authentication) has been released. BioWebAuth is an open source Java framework intended to provide single sign-on web authentication based on BioAPI-compliant biometric software or devices. It uses the JA-SIG Central Authentication Service architecture.

The BioWebAuth framework also offers a basic face verification modality that supports (almost) any usb-webcam as capture device. In this new version, this face recognition functionality has been completed with client-side Java-based automatic face detection and with a BioAPI-compliant Face BSP for Windows/Linux O.S.. Furthermore, some improvements have been made, and some bugs have been fixed in relation to previous versions. BioWebAuth system requires J2SE 1.5 SDK, JBoss Application Server 4.0.2 (or later), MySQL database 4.1 (or later) and BioAPI framework to be installed on the server machine.

BioWebAuth system requires J2SE 1.5 SDK, JBoss Application Server 4.0.2 (or later), MySQL database 4.1 (or later) and BioAPI framework to be installed on the server machine.

Biometrics for Web Authentication

Alpha version of BioWebAuth system (Biometrics for Web Authentication) will be released soon. At the moment, all the source code is available via Subversion repository, (with URL https://biowebauth.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/biowebauth\). A quick installation guide is included. Requirements to build the system are: J2SE 1.5 SDK, JBoss application server 4.0.2 (or later), MySQL database 4.1 (or later), NetBeans IDE 5.5, and Ant 1.6.5. In order to test the overall system the BioAPI framework has to be installed on your server machine.
