BinCoMerge is a binary files diff at byte resolution. It shows hexadecimal and raw ASCII data.
BinCoMerge is seeking for common blocks from the bigger ones to the lower ones. It works by levels of minimum block sizes which are powers of 2. For example, with a file sizing between 16 KiB and 32 KiB, Bincomerge will firstly seek for all common blocks bigger than 16 KiB. Then, it will seek for all common bigger than 8 KiB, then 4KiB, 2KiB, 1024 Bytes...
Because it works by levels, BinCoMerge can show some results before it finishes.

For several hours she scanned files the size of a couple megabytes, and even did not reach half.

Very funny tools for system programmers. Must have. It have big potential for growth and adding features.

looks ok, very easy to use extremely slow - took about 10 seconds to compare two 512kb files and the worst about it - it has no settings of comparison method. For example , it can not just compare 2 files byte by byte and highlight every different addresses. The way you normally expect such a software to work
