Binary Decimal Foundation

Author: Kam Swygert
Project: Bitcoin Binary
Publication Path: "/bitcoin/decimal"

Purpose

This Wiki documents the Binary Decimal Foundation and its associated source, serialization, provenance, and validation structures.

The project separates historical source material from independently derived implementations.

Classification

Each artifact is classified according to its evidentiary status:

  • DOCUMENTED — directly supported by an identified source.
  • EXTRACTED — retained from an identified source without claiming authorship of the surrounding system.
  • DERIVED — independently constructed from documented technical material.
  • IMPLEMENTED — present in the project's software.
  • VERIFIED — independently reproducible from the published artifact and its stated inputs.
  • UNVERIFIED — proposed or reconstructed material for which the underlying historical claim has not yet been independently established.

Binary Decimal

The Binary Decimal Foundation uses an exact fixed-point decimal representation before conversion into integer, binary, hexadecimal, and cryptographic representations.

The canonical processing model is:

"DECIMAL → INTEGER → BINARY → HEXADECIMAL → HASH → PROVENANCE"

The decimal layer is treated as the semantic input. Binary and hexadecimal forms are representations of that canonical value rather than independent monetary meanings.

Historical Source Separation

Historical Bitcoin source material is maintained separately from the Binary Decimal implementation.

No reconstructed index, naming convention, routing tree, or derivative specification is presented as an original Satoshi-era structure unless supporting historical evidence establishes that fact.

R01–R24 Index

The R01–R24 structure is maintained as a derived routing and provenance index.

Its purpose is to provide a deterministic organization for:

  • source identification
  • repository information
  • routing
  • dictionary entries
  • decimal representation
  • integer representation
  • binary representation
  • serialization
  • hashing
  • identity
  • signatures
  • transactions
  • blocks
  • provenance
  • operations
  • state
  • evidence
  • namespaces
  • reverse resolution
  • receipts
  • validation

The R01–R24 labels should not be interpreted as literal historical labels used by Satoshi unless independently documented.

Publication Model

SourceForge provides the human-readable documentation layer.

Cryptographic artifacts may additionally be published through content-addressed storage such as IPFS. Hashes identify the exact bytes of a published artifact.

The publication layers are therefore treated separately:

"SOURCE → DERIVATIVE → HASH → CONTENT-ADDRESSED PUBLICATION → DOCUMENTATION"

Project Status

Historical Reference

Historical Bitcoin source material is preserved as a separate reference layer.

The project may reference archived Bitcoin v0.1-era source files and historical graphical assets for research and provenance purposes. Those artifacts remain identified as historical material and are not modified as part of the Binary Decimal specification.

The Binary Decimal Foundation is maintained as a separate derived implementation.

Specification Diagram

The specification diagram represents the Binary Decimal processing model:

DECIMAL → INTEGER → BINARY → HEXADECIMAL → HASH → PROVENANCE → VALIDATION

The diagram is a project-created specification artifact and is not presented as an original historical Bitcoin diagram.
