I had started BidNobble approximately 12 hours prior and had it sniping for a single auction. I decided to add another auction as a test approximately 10 minutes before it was scheduled to go off.
The auction was added successfully, I had entered the bid dialog information, and when I hit the "Yes" button the BidNobble screen outline remained but was painted as a blank, grey square. This did not resolve itself after several minutes.
I could not close BidNobble via the task bar context menu. It could not be ended via the Task Manager under the Applications tab (tried twice). The only way I could close it was by ending the javaw process in the Task Manager Processes tab.
When I restarted BidNobble, it still had the information for the auction that had been set up last night, but nothing for the auction that I had been attempting to add.
I hope this is detailed enough to help.

See "Completely hangs computer OSX" thread
