i tested the spource view from CVS and it works great. I posted another suggestion on making that preview window static and being able to use the curser keys to go up and down the list while that preview window is updated.
I am actully not using bibkeeper for ediing, so I have not tested any update feature with bibkeeper.

I just noticed the mail to you under source forge bounced so I post it in the form. was not sure if i should send the mail to you at your inistitute in .no
The source view seems to work great! INcluding stting it to the default
flag.
I also notices that he parsing of the date is now more strict.
Also the chapter title shows now correctly.
Here another even simpler suggestion:
Maybe you could have an option with a source window that is always open.
when you selct an entry the source indow gets automatically updated.
hence you can use your mouse key to scroll up and down quickly in the
file and do not have to always press CTRL D.
Another thing that would be great if i could reorder the columns which
should be possible with a swing method.
Here an advanced idea: take a look at the drag and drop interface in
swing. It would be extremly cool if you can select a row and drag it
into for example an emacs window and it pasts and copies the \cite{key}
into the location where your curser in emacs is standing. E.g. you just
print out the string.
