#13 Adding an entry with a filter active seems to do nothing

Inserting an entry while a filter is active does not show
the newly created entry in every case. Precise: it does
only show the newly created entry when an empty entry
matches the currently active filter.

Proposed solution: automatically switch to the universal
filter when adding a new entry.
