I was thinking of an improvement in separating the authors (mostly with many names) and multiple keywords as well. In few softwares (for example Evernote - esp. TAG fields) you see after entering the separator character (in the case of Evernote it is a comma "," in the TAG field), the expression becomes a so-called bubble (see attachment). I think it could be of a big help and user will have a better overview of both: the authors and the multiple keywords as well. I personally would prefer only these two fields (the aforementioned Authors and Keywords), of course, it will not be useful at all in fields like title, etc.

I think there's some discussion needed to figure this out, and that's
usually better done on the mailing list. If you're not subscribed to the
bibdesk-users mailing list, please do so and raise this question there.
We'll keep this bug around to monitor progress, though.

This is not feasible. This would require using a token field, but this is rather problematic widget, and combined with other special handling we need to do in those fields this would be a huge mess and highly unstable.
