#1458 Bibdesk does not read XML-Data when connecting via z39.50
I added some servers for requests using Z39.50
At Least I have been missing some information about the Syntax for the servers and tried all of them now as I am not happy about the read data.
Documentation does not tell, but it seams the "default" used by BibDesk is "US Marc".
At least for my german servers I did find linked at http://www.gbv.de/wikis/cls/Z39.50 I almost do not get all data into an entry of BibDesk.
Now I found, that there is all info needed in the "Remark" tab (in German "Anmerkung")
So it looks for me like the information from any XML setting is not used by Bibdesk at all (empty data set). On the others or the default US Marc I am missing data (e.g. year of a PhD thesis).
I did use the server settings seen in the attachment.
My search was au="Bacilieri" with different settings for "syntax"

BibDesk can read Marc XML. We try to get as much information as we can. It may be that the server does not put the information in the right places, that unfortunately happens a lot.
