it seems like the lib files on FIRE for java are not setup
correctly. When running a swing java app, it throws an
error about not finding certain constants in the libawt
file.

Can you tell us which version of FIRE this was on? If 0.4
it is not likely to be (directly) fixed, as we will probably
be jumping to a newer base for FIRE.

here a simple swing app that replicates the error. The error
is a unsatisfiedLinkError in libawt.so not able to resolve
XkbIgnoreExtension.

it was the case on 0.35 (where we created a custom built
integrating java) and 0.4.
