#222 manifest error

Never seen this before:

This happened about a half dozen times to both my e-mail
accounts this morning, but I've since received and sent e-mail
fine on one of them at least...

Hard disk full? The manifests (lists of mail message ID strings
which have been received but not forgotten) are stored in the
config/Mail/chains files I vaguely remember. Nathan was more
involved with that, since IMAP needed it.

800 MB free on the boot volume, 3 GB where I store my mail...and I
don't use IMAP and wasn't playing with settings or anything like
that.

Mysterious. Could be corrupt chain files, but recreating them
means deleting and then recreating the account settings, which is
a bit of work. And may result in lost or double mail if you have
saved files on the server.
