http://www.sosdg.org/~larne/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=357 Summary: bmp halts when disc cache is empty Product: BMP Version: 0.9.7 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux (Gentoo) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: Normal Component: Core AssignedTo: bee...@li... ReportedBy: fed...@fs... Description of problem: BMP randomly stops playing mp3 when reading from almost any filesystem (hard disk, cdrom, samba) when cache is empty and disc must begin rotate again How reproducible: As linux caches disc reads (cdrom, hard disk, samba) it happens that when re-playing the same mp3 or when starting a new mp3, bmp stops, as paused. The workaround for this problem is to press pause and the press pause again: this way the disc (cdrom is easier to test) starts rotating again and play re-begins. Steps to reproduce: 1. insert a cdrom with an mp3 collection 2. start playing your playlist 3. mind the time when bmp "pauses" 4. when you find it paused you'll probably see the seek bar at its end 5. play pause twice Actual results: bmp pauses because of empty disc cache Expected results: bmp do not pause but wait for disc restart rotating and then continue playing Additional info: this could not as easy to reproduce, but with my dvd collection, it happens quite often and is quite annoying. some mp3 (probably with some errors) even stops many times in the middle of them XMMS does not have this problem ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. |

http://www.sosdg.org/~larne/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=356 Summary: Core dump on startup when no display is available Product: BMP Version: 0.9.7 Platform: PC OS/Version: FreeBSD Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: critical Priority: Normal Component: Core AssignedTo: bee...@li... ReportedBy: ri...@hi... Description of problem: bmp core dumps when no X display is available and you call it with a parameter like --help or --version. I've got Ubuntu 5.04/AMD64 so I think my bmp version is compiled for 64 bit. How reproducible: always Steps to reproduce: 1. Make no X display available (i.e., don't start the X server or try it from an SSH connection without X forwarding). 2. Start beep-media-player with "beep-media-player --help" or "beep-media-player --version" Actual results: Core dump Expected results: Help / version should be printed. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. |

http://www.sosdg.org/~larne/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=354 Summary: "Close Dialog on Add" not remembered Product: BMP Version: 0.9.7 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux (Gentoo) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: Low Component: Core AssignedTo: bee...@li... ReportedBy: sha...@gm... Description of problem: The "Close Dialog on Add" checkbox is not remembered for future use. How reproducible: Open the Add File dialog. Uncheck "Close Dialog on Add". Add songs. Press Close button. Open Add File dialog. Option defaults to "Close Dialog on Add" again. Expected results: The checkbox should default to whatever option was last used, as that is most likely what the user will generally want. Additional info: I realize this is a semantic problem, not an actual bug, but it's annoying anyway. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. |

ReportedBy: hhi...@un... The problems happens in KDE with * the windows behaviour "Show Window list while switching desktops" off * the mouse option "Focus follows mouse" How reproducible: often Steps to reproduce: 1. the mouse if over a window of bmp or bmpx 2. change to the next app with Alt-Tab Actual results: it changes to the next bmp(x) window, and bmp(x) is still visible and thus focus changes back to the other bmp(x) window, making it difficult to switch to another application Expected results: bmp(x) windows goes to the background first time I hit alt-tab Additional info: it works with other multiple window application as the gimp ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. |

http://www.sosdg.org/~larne/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=337 ------- Additional Comments From m.d...@ar... 2005-09-12 21:19 ------- While you were able to 'fix' it by starting famd, this is a bug never the less, since the FamMonitor object (it's nothing from FAM itself, it's a part of BMPx) should check whether a connection attempt to FAM was successfull or not, and if not, return an error and abort the operation. Currently it simply assumes the connection was established, which can lead to an invalid FAM conenction pointer which in the end causes the crash. Hence i've re-opened the bug until a real fix has been made. -- Milosz ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. |

http://www.sosdg.org/~larne/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=345 Summary: drag & drop files from Storage Media in KDE 3.4.x -- BPM doesn't play them Product: BMP Version: 0.9.7 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux (Mandrake) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: Normal Component: Core AssignedTo: bee...@li... ReportedBy: n0...@vi... Description of problem: In KDE 3.4.x when adding files to the playlist or main window from System/Storage Media (konqueror), bpm doesn't play them, it jumps to the next title (like the files were unavalible). I think the problem is, that konqueror gives the path like "media://.../.../music.mp3" to bpm instead of "/.../.../music.mp3". when adding files from a normal filesystem tree (e.g. "/.../.../music.mp3"), everything is ok. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. |
