Dear subscribers, I've just updated the SourceForge cvs tree with a prerelease of BeeCrypt=20 2.1.0 - some more testing and changes are expected to take place before i= t's=20 rolled into a new release. The main feature in this upcoming release is going to be the switch to us= ing=20 automake and libtool for compiling the library. All reported bugs are fix= ed=20 in the current tree. Thanks go to Marko Kreen, Steve O'Neill and Jon Stur= geon. More information on the changes is present in the NEWS file in the tree. I've written Sparc v8 assembler multiplication routines (about 150% faste= r)=20 and slightly improved the Sparc v9 multiplication routines (a few percent= =20 faster) . I'm currently working on 32-bit ARM routines (thanks to ARM Ltd. for dona= ting=20 the ARM Architecture Reference Manual book) and have started on 64-bit=20 vectorized IA-64 routines - which may put it on par with Alpha processors= , or=20 even beyond. Expect more news on this soon. As always, your comments, remarks, bugs, etc. are welcome at=20 bee...@vi..., or in the appropriats SourceForge forums. Sincerely, Bob Deblier Virtual Unlimited |
