Dear Marco, thanks for this wonderful software.
I used it together with my wife only rarely / on demand.
Long time it has not been used, so I have no comparison to earlier versions anymore.
Now I enabled it on both Windows systems and I experience two issues
a) sometimes it works after a while but most of the time the other user in the lan is not being detected although BeeBEEP is running
b) currently the other use is not detected since over 1h.
Software version is 5.8.6.
The two Windows machines are a windows 11 pro and 10 pro (both 22H2).
There is not 3rd party firewall solution in place.
We have a "flat" LAN (no VLANs in use, no router in between).
Ethernet Adapters on both systems: Intel X710-DA2 with the last recent driver 1.18.367.0.
Could you kindly tell, what to look for, what communication is exactly needed so that the discovery is working? Many thanks.

Have you tried clicking "broadcast button" on the two BeeBEEPs to force the search of the users?

Hi Marco, many thanks for your kind response.
It turned out that Windows Defender settings were suboptimal. Root cause most likely due to the change of network adapter. After resettings defender settings to default I got on both PC the query, whether connections from this application are allowed. After that all is running smoothly.
Sorry for the false alarm and many thanks for this great product.
Where I am here, if I may raise one big wish:
that window size and position for main and chat windows would be remembered.
To save/restore window geometry doesn't seem to do it (not sure what the purpose for this is).
Background: I am a big fan of a "sorted" desktop, where every window has its standard place to give you the most benefit. I like it to work with many windows and with a clever positioning you have a great overview of "what is going on".
Another minor one: a restart button, in case you change something (language to english for such support things).

Save window geometry must work as you need.
Check if you have also enabled the optiom "restore default geometry at startup" that prevents your savings.... On monday I will check it... maybe there was a bug!
