could you help me step by step how to compile beebeep with microsoft visual studio 2013 please? I have tried to build it with your directions and there are directories and files missing from the source provided, and the directions that are given. For example, when you say to use "qt 5.5.x" there is no such version, so it's not clear which version of qt should be used with Beebeep code. and in the BuildHelpreadme the arguments you list "E:\SOURCES\beebeep-build\icu\include\" but none of the beebeep source code matches that structure. when I try to compile beebeep it says many errors about "conflicting files with same same name in the directory" and is pointing out among others the emoji folders, and it fails to compile and complete the build. could you write me a tutorial please? Trying to compile the newest beebeep code on windows 10 with visual studio 2013. Thank you.

Hello. The guide is a little bit outdated. BeeBEEP now is compiled with 5.12 and 5.15. I'm sure that qt 5.12 and 5.15 are not compiled with VSc++ 2013 but with VSc++ 2015.

    Download Qt online installer.
Install it and select the version of qt you prefer (at least install Qt 5.15 or Qt 5.12).
If you want another version of Qt you can download it from (and install it after the version above selected):
    https://download.qt.io/archive/qt/

Open Qt Creator. Open Project. Select the file beebeep-desktop.pro in the source code folder. Build it.

thanks. does this release the complete beebeep? because after I build it with msvc 2015 64bit it can't run and none of the qt files are put into this directory called test

The source code you download from website or sourceforge is completed.
Just use the compiler for the Qt you download.
Normally I compile with msvc community 2015 32 bit.
Start BeeBEEP inside the Qt Creator.
If you want to use the exe inside the test folder you need the qt library in your windows path or put your exe in the same folder of installed BeeBEEP.

Hey marco, Qt v5.15 or 5.12 don't even come with msvc 2015 32 bit support? if you actually used that version of qt to build beebeep, why are some of your releases called "qt487" ? I really need this to build-- it's driving me crazy. if you're will to add like 300 spaces of emojis in each emoji category I can supply basic image files with the numbers going from 0-300. I really want to mod beebeep with these changes, for private use, I'm not going to go run off and say that I built it or anything-- for one my name isn't Marco Mastroddi --- and I am willing to donate some money to your project to help you further beebeeps development.

Hello. Tomorrow I will back to home so I can see all my building environment... and I tell you...

Hello again. My build environment in Window is:
32 bit: msvc 2015 (community edition) and Qt 5.9.8 (and latest version of Qt Creator)

    On Linux: Qt 5.12
    On MacOSX: Qt 5.15

I'm porting all the source code to Qt 6...

You can send me the images of the emojis but I need the filename called as their unicode - like you see in the folder emoji of the source code.

    Hi Marco,
before I can get back to my work PC will any of these work/be compatible with Beebeep license?
    https://unicode.org/Public/emoji/15.0/

well, I have the images ready, I'm not certain that they would be usable though as they are images that display 001, 002, 003, etc up to 300 and the only renaming I did was A0001-A0300, etc B0001-B0300 and for C0001-C0300 , D0001-D0300, E0001-E0300. may I post the zip file here?

These filenames are not usable in BeeBEEP. I need that a filename matches the unicode code of the emoji.

I think the best way to use all emojis is installing a font with all of them in the system and select the font in BeeBEEP and the option "Use font emoticons" as for whatsapp or yelegram...0
