When shifting between applications in windows, I use Ctrl+Tab - This does not minimise the active chat window, but rather sets a transparency at between 10% and 100% with the default being 85%. Is there a way to disable this behaviour so that when I press Ctrl+Tab, I actually minimise the chat window?

Thanks Marco, I think I made a bit of a mistake on my initial question. It was to read Alt+Tab (which is used gloabally to switch apps) My issue is that the chat stays in the foreground and prevents me from interacting with whichever other app I am switching to. For now I am using Ctrl M to minimise all chats which is okay, however, if there is a way to completely disable chat opacity and just get it to minimise, that would be great.

Ah, now I understood. There is not an option like that... but I can create it... "Minimize chat window if it lost its focus" (loosing focus is the way I can manage the CTRL+TAB event from system)...
