Hello, what format the icons are in this program. I would like to add some bigger and less blurry to the program?
I tried png, jpg and ico no one work. Where are the default icons stored?
Thanks.

I uploaded a zip that contains the folder with the emoticons, but larger, for everyone desire it.
I hope the creator of the program will change the hard coded 32 pixels to something larger in the future.
Thanks.

First questions from the the starting post not needed for a response. I figured out how it works. It remains as a sugestion, if it is posible to let in chat icons larger than 32 pixels.
Thanks.

Users can download this file and unpack it in their preferred folder. Open "Settings" menu in BeeBEEP, then "Chat" and then "Select emoticon theme..."
Select the folder where you have placed emojis and you can use "hi resolution emojis".

Maybe in the future you implement gifs too. I can help you with a package for this.

Sorry, unfortunately 'native (emot)icons' are low quality. The idea of permitting by program to see bigger emoticons is better. 32 pixels is too small.
And thank you for this nice program.

Yes, the default "native" icons on Windows are low quality. In the new version I will add the package in this thread with the option "Use high resolution emoticons".
You can also download a windows font with better emojis (for MacOSX the "native" ones are the best, but apple font is not availble for Windows).
Thank you very much... I'm thinking about a better solution...

Hi.
I saw you already implemented the high resolution icons in chat, but they are barely a little larger. The icons are still small though. I hopped for larger
Thank you.

Hello Sorin,
I forgot to add the option in the GUI.
You have to quit BeeBEEP and edit the file beebeep.ini.
Find the line:
EmoticonSizeInChat=XX
And put the size in pixel, for example for bigger emoticons:
EmoticonSizeInChat=64
Or bigger
EmoticonSizeInChat=96
Save and close the file, then restart BeeBEEP.
If you change the CHAT FONT, BeeBEEP automatically "resize" the icons on the new font size. So select before your preferred chat font (if you don't like the system one) and then edit the beebeep.ini file.
If you want to prevent "this change" always, create or edit the beebeep.rc file (see the FAQ, https://www.beebeep.net/faq#faq4 ) adding these lines at the end of file:
[Gui]EmoticonSizeInChat=96
Thank you for your feedback!

Yes I will do it... thank you very very much for your "package".

Check also the ticket 731 to use "native icons" instead of "embedded ones".

If you don't mind, I will upload 2 packages with gifs here, if you are interested, for the future development of the program.
And the second one.
Thank you very much Sorin!
Just a question: have you uploaded file emoji.7z?
I want to add some credits in BeeBEEP website to you...
Yes, I did, but no need for any credits.

Where is the ini file? I found just one with help.ini
beebeep.ini: https://www.beebeep.net/faq#faq13
data folder: https://www.beebeep.net/faq#faq6
[Gui]
EmoticonSizeInChat=96
96 is the maximum size for gui?
Last edit: Sorin Tudorache 2021-01-14
160 pixel is the maximum size for the emoticons in BeeBEEP version 5.8.4.
Last edit: Marco Mastroddi 2021-01-14
Thank you. I figured out the way it works. 160 pixel is good enough so far.
