Aloha sir,

I would like to set my husband's BeeBeep to start automatically for him when he turns his machine on in the morning. He often forgets - thus I have to either email him a reminder or march over to the other side of the house and wag my finger at him. :p

Me: Computer: PC MS 8.1
BeeBeep version: 5.6.8 - 1215 |- p77 - qt5 for Microsoft Windows
and
Steve (husband) Mac with OS: 10.13 High Sierra.
BeeBeep Version 5.6.8-1215-p77-qt5 for Apple MacOSX

I enabled 'Start BeeBeep Automatically' on my machine without issue and it works fine.
Went to do the same on husband's only to find 'Start BeeBeep Automatically' is not listed in Settings on his machine.

Can you help us solve this please?

Mahalo,
Jeannine

    Aloha Jeannine!
The option is not listed because I don't know how to do it automatically on MacOSX.
It is my fault, but this morning I have some time to spend on it... and I will try to add that option also on MacOSX...

    You can do it "manually":
    1. Launch into your OS X System Preferences (Apple Menu -> System Preferences) and choose “Users & Groups” (or on prior versions of OS X, click on the “Accounts” icon).
    2. Now visit the “Login Items” tab, and click the “+” icon in the lower corner – OR – drag and drop the Application to launch on startup into this Login Items screen (see the attached image)
    3. Now you’ll see the Applications folder contents in front of you, simply scroll through and select the application you want to load on start, and click “Add” to choose that app to open on startup of the Mac.

BeeBEEP is not ditally signed so "maybe" MacOSX will refuse to start it automatically...
Let me know if you have problems... and thank you very much for your ticket.

    Ciao from Rome.

    Good news -- it worked!
Just have to click 'Allow' ... no biggy.

    Mahalo & Ciao for now,
    Jeannine

p.s. If you ever find yourself on the Big Island of Hawaii and are looking for friends with a view (and homegrown coffee), you've got two right here. :)
