Hello!
The windows installation package add BeeBEEP to exceptions of Windows Firewall automatically, but if you have a personal firewall installed you have to do manually.

For your ESET firewall I have found:
"Create a firewall rule to allow/disallow use of a certain application..."
https://support.eset.com/kb2843/
Follow the instructions with:
Name: BeeBEEP rule
Direction: in (maybe you have to make anothor one with out)
Action: Allow
Local - Application: browse and put beebeep.exe file (if you, in the future, will change the path you have to update also this rule).

If you want, you can open ports instead add BeeBEEP to exception list.
https://support.eset.com/kb3112/
BeeBEEP uses 3 ports by default (but 2 of them can change if the standard ports are not available):
36475 (udp) fixed for all computers in network (do not change)
6475 (tcp) for chat messages
6476 (tcp) file transfers
More info about these ports:
https://www.beebeep.net/help#config

MacOSX ask you for "Allow" the first time BeeBEEP started and on every update.

I hope this can help you.

Thank you for your ticket.
