It would be cool to have this as an easy redistribute-able package such as AppImage for Linux so you don't need to have each device connected to the internet to at least download the necessary dependencies if they aren't built in.
That is a great point, and it's actually a fantastic idea! To be honest, I just started working on an AppImage solution right after reading your post. You hit the nail on the head: since the main goal of BeeBEEP is to work completely offline in a local network, requiring an internet connection just to resolve and download package dependencies during installation is definitely a bottleneck.
An AppImage will perfectly solve this by bundling the executable and all necessary Qt libraries into a single, self-contained file that you can just put on a USB stick and run instantly on an isolated machine. I will keep you posted and share a test build as soon as it's ready!

Would also be cool if there was a flatpak for BeeBeep. Unfortunately there's only a Snap and a Flatpak would pretty much cover all other distributions.
