First of all many thanks to the authors of Bastille-Linux for putting = together such an useful tool. I am wearing the sysadmin hat only = part-time and I am learning tricks just by running the bastille = configuration script :-) Unfortunately I could not find a manual or links through google to = indicate what's the best way to maintain a configuration generated by = InteractiveBastille. UnforIf there is an FAQ somewhere please direct me = to it and I will RTFM before posting again. Some of my questiosn 1. Which is the minimal set of configuration files that I need to modify = in order to change the basic functionality (list of ports and so on)? Do I need to run a bastille specific command after modifying the files = or it is enough to simply start the service again? 2. Let's say I want to experiment with other IP routing issues, for = example port forwarding. How would I go about integrating that in the = firewall? Should I modify the /etc/rc.d/init.d/bastille-firewall script. Thanks a lot for any pointers! Direct email appreciated. Marius Seritan -- Engineering Jacent Technologies mse...@ja... |
