Glad to see some folks in the list! Lionel, thank you for the great job - I remember when I moved to KDE 4 Basket was already working there :) I cleaned up remaining Qt3/KDE3 support last year, so that Basket executable isn't linked to those libraries. Kevin, good luck with OneNote import! I've recently updated Tomboy import method and it doesn't seem too complex on Basket's side - as long as you have parsed their notes. Regarding synchronization - if we e.g. use dropbox for basket folder, then we need to check for modification of baskets tree and notes in runtime, which is not performed now AFAIK. Meantime, I've noticed this merge request, which makes it possible to use version control systems for sync: https://github.com/kelvie/basket/pull/18 . I'll apparently merge it soon. I would like to make a stable release with Qt4 for now. There are still some bugs (listed here https://bugs.kde.org/buglist.cgi?product=basket for example) that I'm going to fix. You should watch out for crashes too: I've experienced some when I had many notes in one basket, they're most likely related to Graphic items handling when loading/animating the notes... Building for Qt5 using QWidget shouldn't be too complex, and I consider porting it to QtQuick some day... that will make all the notes animations easier. BTW I have fixed that formatting issue I mentioned last time in commit b02f6966a6 - so now it should work (e.g. Personal and Work tags actually change the text color). Please drop a line when you have any progress or questions. Regards, Gleb |
