When I boot up BasiliskII running from a newly installed System7.5.3 virtual disk the mouse does not function in either BasiliskII or any other X Window after the Mac system boots up (I can move the mouse around with the "mac" boots up)
I am able to enter text commands if I open a new Xwindow with a keyboard command. I am able to kill Basilisk. Even after Basilisk is killed my system does not have a mouse. It dissappears. I must kill my X session.
Some details... The following message is generated when Basilisk is running:
Warning UnknownVideoDriverStatus(18)
When I kill X it leaves the error message:
s3v warning Vertical Retrace Wait timed out (2:3)
Details on my machine. I am running linux SuSE 7.0 with XFree86 from SuSE version 4.02. On a 199 Mhz Intel Celeron processor with 160 MB of RAM.
My video card is an S3 virge dx/gx
X is using the s3virge driver
This appears to be problem with the X server not working well with Basilisk. Should I try a generic xsvga driver?
Thanks

Most likely an X11 or window manager problem. Any input
focus related problems in B2 should be fixed by now.
