A VPN is a layer above Barry. It is really up to your VPN software, and what exists in your /etc/resolv.conf file. Also, your routing table will need to have a specific entry for your VPN IP address, so your VPN can communicate, but your default route (or your internal IPs) will go over your VPN connection. Again, this is up to your VPN software to configure, but sometimes you have to do this manually. The documentation of your specific VPN software (PoPToP perhaps?) should be able to help you. - Chris |
