#26 Postgresql 7.4 protocol version 3.0

I have compiled Bandwidthd width postgresql by edding a
few
symbolic links in Fedora Core 2

So I thought I was good to go but now I get the
following message:
bandwidthd: Postresql SELECT failed: function requires a
t least protocol version 3.0

Can you please help with this matter, I found out that
my problem is caused by Postgresql 7.4.

I am using the default rpm's by Fedora Core
