Bug 1: With the font configured without hinting in Control Center, this
problem in the menus appears. When mouse passes in the item menu,
the problem disappears, until the closed menu and to be opened again.
(screenshot it show the problem)

    the preview bug probably won't fix.
    about the popupmenu/font thing:
    1. did you check menushadows
    2. did you activate any popupeffect? (fake translucency,
    fade/scroll in/out etc.)

    The problem occurs with all the disactivated effect, and with any effect menu
