About BADAM Home

BADAM was created as a hobby. I have always loved gamebooks and interactive fiction. I wanted to write a gamebook set in modern times drawing inspiration from the game Thief, the gadgetry of Batman and the open endedness of the world in GTA Vice City and Fabled Lands. And I needed an interpreter to test the game. That was how I began developing BADAM.

About the Name
The core file was named badengine.js due to my lack of designing prowess. And Badam (or Almond) was what I was eating when searching for a name to register the project in SourceForge.net.

About the Sample Game
The game included with this project, was to be entered into Windhammer Competition 2014. Only a small section of that game is implemented here. It served as an aid to develop and test the engine. The game in its pdf form is still a work in progress.

Development and Testing
Everything including testing, development and documentation till date has been done on my Nexus 5 phone. The development was mostly done on AIDE app for web development. Google Chrome was used to test the game.
