Yes, apparently there is no full backup for that FileSet. Perhaps you purged it? If you do a list jobs, you should see that there is no Full backup. Normally this shouldn't happen unless your retention periods are not setup correctly. > > Another thing that is wired to me: > > On the machine "erwin", I made backups on just 2 volumes. Do you mean that you used bscan to create a catalog on gandalf? In my answers that follows, that is what I assumed. > > ################################ > > > erwin:/etc/bacula # ./console > Connecting to Director erwin:9101 > 1000 OK: erwin-dir Version: 1.32b (14 Oct 2003) > *list jobtotals > Using default Catalog name=MyCatalog DB=bacula > +------+--------+---------------+---------------+ > | Jobs | Files | Bytes | Job | > +------+--------+---------------+---------------+ > | 3 | 2 | 6,471,115 | BackupCatalog | > | 7 | 53,865 | 3,698,167,036 | Client1 | > | 3 | 51,089 | 3,010,165,319 | RestoreFiles | > +------+--------+---------------+---------------+ > +------+---------+---------------+ > | Jobs | Files | Bytes | > +------+---------+---------------+ > | 13 | 104,956 | 6,714,803,470 | > +------+---------+---------------+ > You have messages. > > > ################################ > > gandalf:/etc/bacula # ./console > Connecting to Director gandalf:9101 > 1000 OK: gandalf-dir Version: 1.32b (14 Oct 2003) > *list jobtotals > Using default Catalog name=MyCatalog DB=bacula > +------+-------+-------------+---------------+ > | Jobs | Files | Bytes | Job | > +------+-------+-------------+---------------+ > | 1 | 1 | 6,372,920 | BackupCatalog | > | 4 | 2,604 | 704,544,511 | Client1 | > +------+-------+-------------+---------------+ > +------+-------+-------------+ > | Jobs | Files | Bytes | > +------+-------+-------------+ > | 5 | 2,605 | 710,917,431 | > +------+-------+-------------+ > * > > > ################################ > > the job "Client1" seems to have shrinked on the tape. bscan doesn't 100% reconstruct your catalog, so minor differences are to be expected. However, in the example you show above, one has 7 jobs and the other 4, so are comparing apples and oranges -- perhaps you didn't scan all the tapes. > > Ciao > > Tobi |
