The following bug has been CLOSED ====================================================================== http://bugs.bacula.org/bug_view_advanced_page.php?bug_id=0000673 ====================================================================== Reported By: mdevogelaere Assigned To: ====================================================================== Project: bacula Bug ID: 673 Category: Storage Daemon Reproducibility: always Severity: minor Priority: normal Status: closed ====================================================================== Date Submitted: 09-17-2006 10:21 PDT Last Modified: 09-26-2006 00:52 PDT ====================================================================== Summary: Autochanger does not try to load a tape when restoring files. Description: The restore needs tape X. After submitting the job, nothing happens until a tape is loaded in the drive. The restore starts if that's the correct tape. If it's a wrong tape, the tape is put back and the autochanger automatically selects the correct tape. ====================================================================== ---------------------------------------------------------------------- kern - 09-26-2006 00:52 PDT ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I haven't tried this in version 1.38.11, but in the current 1.39.22 beta, I cannot reproduce this. Under some circumstances on some OSes, it may take up to 5 minutes before Bacula realizes that there is no Volume in the drive, and then it will continue with the restore. Also, if you have previously "unmounted" the drive, Bacula will wait forever, or until you "mount" it again.
